Nigerian Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is set to thrill the crowd at the 2026 World Cup in Los Angeles, United States.
This was announced recently by the world football governing body in an Instagram post.
While unveiling the line-up of artists scheduled to perform at the global event, FIFA confirmed Rema will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony on 12 June 2026 alongside LISA, Katy Perry, Tyla, Future, and Anitta.

The body wrote, “This line-up of artists reflects the cultural diversity of the United States and the vibrancy of its many diasporas, highlighting the nation’s rich influence on music, entertainment, and pop culture, while showcasing the power of music to bring people together across the country.”
Meanwhile, Colombian singer-songwriter and dancer Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, also known as Shakira, recently announced that the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, “Dai Dai”, will feature Nigerian Grammy-winning star Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, aka Burna Boy.
While teasing a snippet of the tournament soundtrack on Thursday in a post shared on her official X (formerly Twitter) page, the 49-year-old artist said: “From Maracaná Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 14/5. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy,” Shakira wrote via her verified handle.
The tournament will also feature its first Super Bowl-style halftime show, curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, on 19 July.
