Colombian singer, songwriter, and dancer Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, popularly known as Shakira, has announced the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring Nigerian Grammy-winning star Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy.
The 49-year-old artist teased a snippet of the tournament soundtrack on Thursday in a post shared on her official X (formerly Twitter) page.
According to her, the song is titled ‘Dai Dai’ and is a collaboration with the Nigerian Afrobeats sensation.

“From Maracaná Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy,” Shakira wrote via her verified handle.
She went on to reveal that the full track will be released on 14 May, ahead of the FIFA tournament. The competition is set to kick off on 11 June, when Mexico face South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
With this development, Burna Boy becomes the second Nigerian artist to feature on an official FIFA World Cup song, following Davido, who featured on the soundtrack for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
It remains unclear, however, whether the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker will perform at the opening ceremony in Mexico City or the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States, on 19 July.
