NOA honours FAAN employee for returning N12m

National Orientation Agency (NOA) Director General, Mike Omeri, has commended all airport staff and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for upholding uprightness.

 

He encouraged them to embrace the change that will produce a better society when he visited the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos to honour Josephine Ugwu with the Citizens Responsibility Recognition Award.

Ugwu, an employee of Patoviki Cleaning Services, a FAAN concessionaires at the MMIA, found and returned N12 million belonging to a traveller.

 

Omeri commended her for distinguishing herself in her place of work and presented her with an award for integrity, which he said is the core value of the agency.

He challenged airport workers to see themselves as worthy ambassadors whose conduct has impact on the nation.

 

In her response, Ugwu thanked Omeri for the honour and said Nigeria has many honest citizens in and outside the country.
