Madojiemu U-15 Athletics Competition lightens Igueben kingdom

The Igueben kingdom witnessed an unprecedented movement of young sports talents as Princess Mabel Madojiemu U-15 Athletics Competition begins.

A thrilling day of action as they also celebrated His Royal Highness Ehizogie Eluogierior I (JP)’s 40th Coronation Anniversary with top-tier athletics performances.

In the Girls long jump heats, Queen Aigbe leads with 4.11m Akowe Sarah – 4.10m, Omonzokpia Blessing 4.10m the finals are set to be a thrilling experience.

In the boys long jump category, Eluogierior Destiny dominated with 6.30m, a massive leap for his young age, while Inaku Peter also impressed with 5.60m.


More events are still ongoing when this report was compiled with athletes for the sprint events and others getting prepared for the start.

It was commendation galore for the daughter of the soil, Princess Mabel Madojiemu who was given special accolade for bringing the competition down to Igueben despite daunting odds.


The Onogie who happens to be Mabel’s elder brother said with the competition, the kingdom has again been made visible worldwide through Media reports.
