Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has said he will not resign from his position, despite the Reds’ poor showing in the Premier League this season.

Klopp’s men are currently 9th on the log table and have continued to struggle for form, having already lost six times in 18 Premier League matches played.

In contrast to this season, Liverpool were only beaten four times in 63 matches in all competitions last season.

The Reds also have 28 points on board and are 10 and 19 points adrift of Champions League places and top of the league respectively.

This poor run of form and uninspired performances from the team have seen calls from the fans, urging Klopp to either resign or be sacked.

But the German, speaking ahead of a FA Cup replay against Wolves on Tuesday, insisted he would not leave the club unless he is sacked.

He went on to argue that he is currently focused on how to get the club out of the situation they find themselves in.

He said: “I will be here for as long as I am wanted.

“If no one tells me to go, I will not go.

“It is something for the future, in the summer, not now.

“The only thing I want is to fix this situation – that is all.”

Liverpool played a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture of the FA Cup 3rd round replay at Anfield Stadium and will be hoping to kick start their season with a win over Wolves today.

They had VAR decision to thank for the replay after it ruled Wolves’ third goal offside due to system malfunction during the first encounter.
