Kwankwaso to double down on the menace if he wins the Villa race

Pervasive drug abuse among youths is a major challenge which requires a holistic solution that includes rehabilitating the victims, according to New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.
And he promised at his campaign in Kaduna at the weekend to tacle the menace head on if elected on 25 February.
He also pledged to upgrade infrastructure at the NNPP North West presidential campaign and handing of flag to the party’s North West governorship candidates at the main bowl of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
Kwankwaso’s running mate Isaac Idahosa insisted Nigeria needs a “deliverer” like Kwankwaso as next President as the NNPP would unite Nigerians and restore peace across the land.
“Nigeria at this critical time needs not just a President but a deliverer and Kwankwaso is the only one that can save the country from her myriad of challenges,” Idahosa said, per The PUNCH.

Kwankwaso says APC and PDP responsible for Nigeria’s woes
Kwankwaso had earlier argued in Asaba in January the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are jointly responsible for the suffering of Nigerians.
He said neither the APC nor the PDP can defeat the NNPP at the ballot box, according to The PUNCH.
His words: “I’m happy for the reception given to me in Asaba, the people have accepted me because I have all it takes to deliver this country from the bondage of APC and PDP.
“PDP and APC put together are what we are suffering today. These two parties have failed Nigerians. Let me tell you, PDP is bad, and APC is very bad.
“I was one of the founding fathers of PDP, they failed and we joined hands to form APC, again APC failed. That’s why we moved to NNPP to save this country.
“Poor leadership, lack of capacity, and integrity mostly characterise PDP and APC. They are only interested in themselves and their family.”
Kwankwaso dismissed the endorsement of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi by former President Olusegun Obasanjo as inconsequential because he [Kwankwaso] has been endorsed by the masses.
“You can’t sit anywhere and start endorsing somebody. The Presidency is not based on ethnicity.”
