Former Kogi State gubernatorial candidate Dino Melaye and Afrobeats star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, have alleged that the Federal Government wants to withdraw security operatives from the Osun State governorship election because the Accord Party is winning.

They leveled the allegation on Saturday in separate posts on their verified X handles as results of the election started trickling in.

According to Davido, some Presiding Officers are trying to enter fake results at the Collation Centre.

He went on to urge Accord Party supporters and voters to ensure that the results are filled into Form EC8A, signed, and uploaded to the IReV portal.

Echoing a similar sentiment, Melaye said the Accord Party is currently leading and that the ruling APC is planning to withdraw security from polling units and collation centres to pave the way for rigging.

“The report reaching me now is that because the Accord Party is leading in most of the polling units across Osun State, the APC and the government are trying to withdraw security operatives so that they can start rigging.

“We will not allow rigging in Osun, and I want to assure the APC and the Federal Government that if they withdraw security from the polling units and the collation centres, they are inviting trouble in this country.” he wrote.
