Music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of interfering with the collation of results in the ongoing Osun governorship election.

Adeleke, whose uncle is Accord Party governorship candidate Ademola Adeleke, claimed the Senate President ordered collation stopped at the ward and local government levels.

In a statement on X, he wrote: “Sen. President Akpabio has called the collation center that they should stop collation!!!!”

Earlier, Governor Ademola Adeleke also raised the alarm, alleging that a directive had been given for security agents to vacate all collation centres ahead of a possible attack by thugs.

He said: “I have just been reliably informed that some unscrupulous persons have given a directive to withdraw security agents from polling units and collation centers across Osun State. This will expose innocent voters, INEC officials and personnel to grave danger from rampaging APC thugs.”

He added: “The IGP, DG DSS should not allow desperate politicians truncate the Osun election. Mr. President @officialABAT should intervene now!”
