Afrobeats star, songwriter, and music producer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has condemned the failure of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to upload the results of the ongoing Osun State governorship election on the IReV portal as and when due.
The ‘Electricity’ hitmaker expressed concern on Saturday in a now-trending post he shared on his official X page (formerly Twitter).
Davido, while questioning why no results had been uploaded to the portal as of 2:33 pm, wondered why the electoral body was keeping Nigerians, especially Osun voters, in suspense.
He went on to tell the commission that citizens of the country desire transparent and timely updates.
Taking to his verified handle, he wrote: “INEC (@inecnigeria), it is now 2:33 p.m., yet no result has been uploaded to the IReV portal. What is the delay?
“Nigerians deserve transparency and timely updates.”

Earlier, the singer alleged that some people in high places were trying to stop him from entering Osun State to support his uncle and incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking re-election.
He nevertheless insisted that he would not allow such a scenario to happen, adding that as a citizen of Nigeria, he has freedom of movement whenever he deems fit.
Davido said: “I’ve been reliably informed that soldiers are trying to prevent me from entering Osun tomorrow. This won’t happen; every citizen of Nigeria has the right to movement at any point in time.”
A total of 15 political parties are on the ballot in the off-cycle election, with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke seeking a fresh mandate on the platform of the Accord Party.
Two candidates, Adesina Adeyemi-Doro of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Simon Adewale of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), have, however, announced their withdrawal before the contest.
