The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, and Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation Council, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has paid his first visit to the Segun Odegbami International College and Sports Academy (SOCA), in Wasimi, Ogun State.
During the visit, he displayed the epitome and embodiment of humility and service to humanity, ‘enrolled’ as an Associate of the academy, took a bed space in one of the rooms and pledged to do more to support the programs of the school, besides the ultra-modern girls dormitory nearing completion that he has already donated to the school and gym equipment he also pledged.
According to the proprietor of the school and former Green Eagles winger and Captain Segun Odegbami, he described the CG’s visit as a glorious day for the staff and students as they warmly welcomed the ‘September visitor’ and his powerful entourage of top Customs officers from the zone to this very rural community.
He sits on his ‘bed’ and reminisces about his student days when he shared a double bunk with his friend, Jibo.
“It was double joy for everyone in having the Customs Chief in the building, said Segun Odegbami, also known as Mathematical.
