Gifty Brian Onyechukwu Ajumobi better known as Gifty Powers has hit out at wealthy celebrities for ignoring Hanks Anuku, who is allegedly battling mental illness.

Anuku made the headlines recently when a disturbing video of him shabbily dressed and roaming the streets of Benin City, surfaced on social media.

Responding to the claims, the veteran Nollywood said the purported video was false and that he was fine.

He said, “Stop writing crap about me and leave me alone. If they want to act a movie and they need help, come to me. I have been on set and those using those pictures are trying to ruin my image. May the Holyspirit forgive you. We shall hook up pretty soon”.

Reacting to the development, reality TV star, Gifty Powers, revisited the saga and called out the hypocrisy of celebrities flaunting their wealth, rather than coming to the aid of their embattled colleagues.

The BBNaija star also pointed out that some of these individuals brag on social media.

She wrote, “It’s funny how the so-called celebrities post their luxuries on their page, yet they can’t afford to contribute something on behalf of Hanks Anuku.

“The so-called multi-billionaire daughters and fathers, the ones married to upcoming politicians, the actresses who sleep with politicians, the actors who do the yahoo, the singers, the musicians. It’s a shame.

“Y’all can’t come out to support a colleague running madly on the streets. Well, it’s the world we live in. People sacrifice their souls to show off on social media and make youngsters feel their effort has been for nothing.

“And after hanging their dotty undies outside, they come on their page and write, with God, all things are possible, Small girl, big God as their caption. Na thunder go fire all of Una. Fools in their 30s, 40s, etc.”
