The former England international labelled Kudus as the best player on the pitch during Ghana’s tie with South Korea, which the West African team won 3-2.

Hargreaves made his assertion at half-time of the Group F match during his analyses on SuperSport, where he described the Ghanaian as calm and comfortable in possession.

Hargreaves said: “Jordan Ayew is playing like David Beckham and to be fair, Thomas Partey in the midfield, they tried a bit of composition, they looked comfortable.

“I like this calm, comfortable possession, but look at this guy Kudus and that is a brilliant goal from the best player on the pitch.”
