APC had earlier released its Presidential Campaign Council list as part of its preparations for the 2027 presidential election.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted trending claims that it is withdrawing the list of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, describing the reports as rumours.
The ruling party denied the reports on Tuesday morning during an interview granted to TheCable by the party’s national spokesman, Felix Morka.
On August 22, 2026, the APC released the composition of its Presidential Campaign Council as part of preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with President Bola Tinubu seeking re-election.
While inaugurating the 108-member council, the party appointed former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as the campaign’s Director-General, and the President as chairman of the council.

However, the list generated mixed reactions within the party and among stakeholders, with some members expressing concerns over the inclusion or exclusion of certain figures.
The development later fuelled speculation about possible adjustments to the composition of the campaign structure, while some reports claimed the party had withdrawn the list released earlier.
Addressing the speculations, Morka noted that the APC would formally announce any changes to the campaign council list if there were any.
Clarifying that there was no basis for the reports, he said, “It’s a rumour. If there is any change to the list, it will be formally announced.”
