Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has set an unwanted record following his team’s narrow defeat to Manchester City.
The Gunners lost 2-1 against the Cityzens in a crucial Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.
Rayan Cherki, who had already hit the post, showed supreme footwork and skill in a crowded penalty area to put City ahead.
However, Arsenal equalised only 107 seconds later when City keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma hesitated before striking a panic-stricken clearance off the incoming Kai Havertz.

Erling Haaland then netted the winner in the second half of the match to give Pep Guardiola’s side all three points against the visitors.
According to OptaJoe, the outcome of the match means Arsenal have lost four consecutive games in domestic league and cup competitions for the very first time under Arteta.
They have also matched a record of losing four straight domestic games for the first time since March 2018.
That previous run included two defeats to Manchester City (in the League Cup final and a league game), a quarter-final loss to Southampton, and a 2-1 league defeat to Bournemouth at the Emirates.
Meanwhile, Arsenal still sit at the top of the Premier League table, three points ahead of City, and will take on Newcastle United in their next game on 25 April.
The Citizens, on the other hand, can now leapfrog Arteta’s men if they win their games in hand and end the season with a better goal difference.
