Femi Kuti added that systemic corruption in Nigeria was enough to dash the hopes of young Nigerians in the country.

Afrobeat singer and instrumentalist Femi Kuti has argued that the main problem in Nigeria is institutional corruption, not President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He made this known recently while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the Good News Naija podcast.
According to the artiste, President Tinubu is not the primary problem facing Nigeria, but rather the deep-rooted corrupt practices that are prevalent across the country.

He stressed that if Nigeria had a robust judicial system, Tinubu would not have been able to contest for the presidency in the first place due to the multiple allegations against him.
He went on to say that corruption in Nigeria is deeply rooted, adding that all those entrusted with leadership across every sector belong to the same class of corrupt elites.
Speaking during the interview, Femi Kuti said:
”Do you think Tinubu is the problem? The judiciary that didn’t stop him from getting there in the first place is the problem. If all the allegations against him are true, how did he contest?
”If we had men and women of calibre and integrity, he wouldn’t have been able to contest in the first place.”
