Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 ex-lovers, Zion and Chinwe, disagreed on how their relationship ended during the first episode of the reality show reunion, which premiered on Monday night.
Speaking during a heated argument over who broke up with the other, Zion claimed that he ended the romantic affair after realizing their purposes didn’t align.
He said: “I basically ended things [broke up with Chinwe].”
Following his claim, the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, asked: “Why?”
Responding to the question, Zion said, “Because I felt like we were moving in different places in our lives; how she let it play out.”

However, countering the claim, Chinwe described his assertion as “a lie.”, and submitted that their relationship ended due to Zion’s nonchalant attitude.
She said, “What Zion will not do is sit here and lie on me now.”
“You could have owned the narrative, my love. What do you mean you broke up with me?” Chinwe continued.
She went on to narrate how Zion went clubbing all night a day before she returned to her base, despite asking him to come home and spend time with her before she travelled the next noon.
She further stated that Zion switched off his phone, and when he returned the next day, he claimed he couldn’t get a ride at that time despite driving past her side to his friend’s house.
Chinwe also explained why Zion’s family and friends disliked her, saying they did because she revealed during the reality show that she sponsored the BBNaija star on the show.
