The man who calls on the diviner,
Must his eyes and ears keep alert.

He who is being accompanied to his inlaws,
Must be in the lead of the journey.
If the wound is on the forehead,
Needless asking the wounded to show you.

The parcel that will soon be opened,
Does not need to be pilfered.
When one fires the gun,
He does not pursue the bullet.
It’s no abomination to throw a daughter’s son into a trench,
Provided it is collectively done.
But the man absent during the burial,
Would exhume the corpse from the leg.
A man who has come to sympathize with the bereaved,
Should not lament that disaster has broken his heart.
If a guest commands his host’s dog,
Then he may have come to steal.
