A children friendly non-governmental organization, CEE-HOPE, celebrated its 10th anniversary in a unique way.
CEE-HOPE, known for its work of protecting rights of vulnerable children and meeting their needs, held the event at Oke-Ira Primary School on January 15 where friends and well-wishers of the NGO socialized with the kids at their school premises.
The children, about a thousand of them, danced, enjoyed refreshment and went home with stationery. Amidst the excitement, they were also sensitized on keeping themselves safe from sexual predators and abusers.
It was a party-like event as the CEE-HOPE anniversary also coincided with the 91st birthday of one of its supporters, Mr Mal Jones.
Among the dignitaries at the event were renowned author, Richard Mammah, ace journalist and former Editor of Nation Newspaper, Lekan Otufodunrin, lawyer and activist, Henrietta Ihonor, actor and movie producer, Dr Victory Emuejekarohwo among others.
