Davido has been at the forefront of the campaign for his uncle and incumbent governor of the state, Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking re-election via the Accord Party.

Afrobeats star, songwriter and music producer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stated that his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, will win Saturday’s Osun State gubernatorial election despite the arrival of All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts in Osogbo, the state capital.
He made this known on Thursday via his official X handle after APC bigwigs stormed the state for their party’s governorship campaign mega rally.
Earlier, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and over 10 governors from the ruling party arrived in the state to participate in a rally ahead of Saturday’s election.
It was gathered that governors including Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, and Uba Sani of Kaduna State were among those present in the state for the poll.

In a post shared on his verified handle, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, welcomed the APC chieftains to the state.
During the rally, APC leaders vowed to ensure the ruling party stops Governor Adeleke’s re-election by winning the off-cycle election.
However, sharing Oyetola’s post on X, Davido ruled out the APC’s chances of winning the election.
According to him, even if the APC gathers Jesus’s 12 disciples, the outcome of the poll will favour his uncle.
‘If you like gather Jesus 12 disciples o ma LULE for the 3rd time’, the singer wrote.
