Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has advised his team to be resolute when they meet Liverpool in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) on Tuesday.

He gave the advice on Saturday during his post-match interview after Galatasaray defeated Beşiktaş 1-0 at home in the Turkish Super Lig.

However, while discussing the UCL last-16 first-leg encounter against the reigning Premier League champions, Osimhen urged his teammates to keep their feet on the ground.

The 27-year-old also noted that to do well against the Premier League giants, he and his teammates must be “careful”.

“This victory [Galatasaray’s 1-0 win against Beşiktaş] will boost our morale. We need to keep our feet on the ground. Liverpool are a very big team,” Osimhen said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.

He added: “We will be playing at home. If we are careful, we can do well, even if it’s not easy. All matches in the Champions League are tough. We will fight to do well.”
