Human rights activist and politician, Aisha Yesufu, has stated that the 2027 general election will be “war” for the citizens of Nigeria.
She made the remark on Saturday night in a trending post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) page. Speaking via the post.
Yesufu noted that Nigerians would be fighting for their lives and the soul of the country during the 2027 polls.
The activist urged all Nigerians to ensure they are not “bystanders” during the consequential election.

She also advised citizens to stand on the side of “justice”, adding that “the truth will always set you free”.
“Let me repeat: the 2027 election is WAR! Nigerians are fighting for their lives and the soul of Nigeria,” Yesufu wrote.
She added: “This is not the time to be a bystander; the more incidents there are, the more likely we are to become victims! Yesterday’s victims were once survivors, today’s victims were yesterday’s survivors, and tomorrow’s victims will be today’s survivors. WHO IS NEXT?
“The truth will always set you free! No matter what you do, ensure you stand on the side of truth and justice.
“It might not earn you love, but it will definitely earn you peace of mind and the capacity to answer any question thrown at you by any journalist.”
