On-form sprinter, Itshekiri Usheoritshe, and long jumper, Ese Brume, will lead 26 Athletes to the 19th edition of the World AthIetics Championship in Budapest starting August 19th to 27th in Hungry.
From the List AthIetics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) unveiled on Tuesday, 28 AthIetes are expected to represent Nigeria in 11 events namely, 100/200m, 400/400h, hammer, long jump, shot put, discus, 4×100/4×400m, 4×400 mix-relays.
Breakdown of the Team events and Athletes are;

According sources, names of top AthIetes comprising of Tobi Amusan, Udodi Onwuzuruike, Godson Oghenebrume, Godbess etc. were missing from the list owing to injuries, health and AIU complications.
The president of the federation Chief Tonobok Okowa will lead administrative officials while Samuel Onikeku, Victor Okorie lead the technical team to Budapest as Veteran coach Tony Osheku, Gabriel Okon Endurance Ojokolo, Gabriel Opuana and others are the coaching crew on the team
