A Legal Luminary, Dr. Tunji Abayomi has joined the race to represent Northern Senatorial District of Ondo State in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
Abayomi, a lawyer and Human Right Activist, who is vying for the position under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) said his plan to represent the senatorial district was borne out of his desire to serve his people.
He promised to give his people the kind of representation that will make their voices the loudest and most effective at the National Assembly.
According to him, he will bring his wealth of experience as a lawyer to bear on his responsibility as a senator, saying that he cherished the ideals of democracy and free society in which all persons live together in one with equal opportunities.
“I want to say that as a lawyer and a well known Human Right Activist who has served in various parts of the world, I have what it takes to be in the Red Chamber and I will try my best to uplift the Senatorial District in terms of infrastructure development,” he said.
He went on: “I also promise to bring my local and international experiences to create a society the constituents would be proud of.”
Unveiling his programme, Abayomi said youth employment and job creation would be his focus.
The Human Right Activist therefore added that Ondo North Senatorial District deserves quality representation in the National Assembly, adding that his programme would be felt by every constituent irrespective of his or her age.
