Tinubu eulogises Zamfara governor, Lawal, at 61

​Tinubu hailed Lawal for extending his administration’s development initiatives beyond physical infrastructure to human capital development.

​President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, whom he described as a “renaissance governor” on the occasion of his 61st birthday.

​He celebrated the governor on Wednesday in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to President Tinubu, Lawal, who marked his birthday on 2 September, has put the state on the path of holistic development through his multi-sectoral approach to governance.

​He went on to commend the governor’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, industrialisation efforts, and investments in education and healthcare.

​He further noted Lawal brought positive change to Zamfara through initiatives that cut across critical sectors of the state’s economy.

​He also praised him for extending his administration’s development initiatives beyond physical infrastructure to human capital development.

​The statement read in part: “The President celebrates Dr Lawal on this occasion, describing him as a Renaissance governor who has brought positive change to Zamfara.

​“President Tinubu particularly acknowledges Governor Lawal’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, as well as his industrialisation effort in the state.

​“The President commends the governor for going beyond infrastructure provision to rehabilitate over 800 schools, recruit over 2,000 teachers, upgrade hospitals, and provide medical supplies across Zamfara.”

​Tinubu joined the governor’s family, friends, and the people of Zamfara State in celebrating him on the occasion.
