British pundit and former Chelsea defender, John Terry, has suggested that North London club Arsenal over-celebrated their qualification for this season’s UEFA Champions League final.
The Blues legend made his feelings about the celebrations known recently during a session with his followers on TikTok.
Arsenal eliminated Atletico Madrid from the Champions League on Tuesday night after beating Diego Simeone’s side 1-0 in the semi-final second leg.
A 44th-minute goal from Bukayo Saka ensured the Gunners progressed to the final on a 2-1 aggregate scoreline, following an initial 1-1 draw in Spain.
Following the final whistle at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta’s men, the coaching staff, and the home supporters erupted with wild jubilation.

Reacting, Terry argued that the Premier League leaders went too far with their celebrations after beating the Spanish outfit.
He maintained that the match between the La Liga side and Arsenal was a “poor game of football”.
Speaking during the session, the former England international said: “I have been looking forward to this game all week, especially after the poor game of football [between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid].
“But fair play to Arsenal on making the Champions League final. By the way, Arsenal way over-celebrated. Far too much for me.
“Yeah, you’re excited because you made the Champions League final, but you over-celebrated a little bit too much for me.”
