Afrobeats star and businessman Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has expressed sadness over his late mother’s failure to watch him perform on stage before her demise.
He made this known while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the Brut Podcast, where he admitted it remained his only regret in life.
Mr Eazi’s mum, Pastor (Mrs) Ifeoma Edith Ajibade, a former banker turned pastor, passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 87.
Explaining why his mother was unable to watch him perform before her death, the singer noted that she didn’t like travelling.
Mr Eazi added that she dreaded even a short trip from Lagos to Accra, adding that her phobia prevented him from flying her to see him sing across the globe.

He, however, noted that despite this, she always supported him through prayers before her untimely passing.
“My only regret in life is that my mum never got to watch me perform on stage before she passed away. She was very conservative in her life in general. She didn’t like travelling, not even from Lagos to Accra.
“And the more my career progressed, the more I was travelling across the world to do shows. But she always supported me with prayers,” Mr Eazi said.
Speaking about his father, the 35-year-old artist said he only watched him perform once, in 2017, years after he achieved stardom.
He added that his dad is very supportive and always calls to congratulate him whenever he releases a new song or project.
