Human rights activist and former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has eulogised late Nigerian billionaire and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
Speaking via his X page on Saturday, the former legislator described the demise of Dantata as a great loss to Nigeria.
TheNiche had earlier reported that the
Kano-based businessman died on Saturday morning the age of 94.
His passing was made public by his principal private secretary (PPS), Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid, in a post on Facebook.
He wrote, “Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings.”

Reacting to the development, Shehu Sani took to his verified social media handle saying Dantata was a man of upright values and boundless compassion who touched the lives of millions of people spanning generations.
He went on to add that he was an accomplished man who lived an “exemplary life”.
Shehu Sani said: “The news of the passing away of Alhaji Aminu Dantata is a great loss to the country. He was a man of upright values and boundless compassion who touched the lives of millions of people spanning generations.
“Not everyone is so blessed with a combination of purposeful longevity, generous spirit and wealth of honour. He was an accomplished man who lived an exemplary life. May his soul rest in Aljanna firdausi, Amin.”
