The date for the release of jailed American rapper, record producer, and record executive, Sean John Combs, known professionally as Diddy, from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn has been released.

The announcement came on Monday, October 27, 2025, three weeks after he was sentenced.

Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison earlier this month following his conviction earlier this year on two prostitution-related charges.

While federal prosecutors argued the rap mogul deserved at least 11 years in prison, his lawyers asked for a sentence of no more than 14 months.

Combs received credit for the year he already served in custody at MDC Brooklyn after he was acquitted by a jury of the most serious charges he faced: racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

The 55-year-old has been incarcerated since he was arrested by federal agents in September 2024, in New York following his indictment by the grand jury.

However, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ online database, Diddy, who is currently serving a four year jail term, is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2028.
