Police lose gallant officer, ACP Fika after gunshot wounds
The police have suffered a huge loss, a veteran combatant in the fight against Boko Haram, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dauda Buba Fika.
Fika was a revered officer in Nigeria’s fight against Boko Haram who passed away at the National Hospital, Abuja, at about 3:30 PM on Tuesday.
The ACP, known for his bravery and leadership, played a key role in reclaiming several towns in Yobe and Borno states from Boko Haram insurgents, per Zagozola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert.
He said the gallant officer, as the Commander of Mopol 41, led joint security operations that significantly weakened terrorist strongholds, including the liberation of his hometown, Fika, from their grip.
