West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo has applauded the impact of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi at his Premier League club, Fulham, describing him as a “very talented player”.
He hailed the Nigerian international while speaking ahead of his team’s English Premier League (EPL) midweek fixture against Fulham.
Iwobi scored a superb goal that helped Marco Silva’s team secure all three points against Tottenham Hotspur.
With Fulham ahead thanks to Harry Wilson’s opener, Iwobi doubled the lead in the 37th minute, calmly curling a powerful strike into the net from outside the box with his instep.
The effort proved to be the decisive goal after Spurs eventually reduced the deficit, with the encounter ending 2-1 in favour of Fulham.
