Former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has accused Premier League leaders Arsenal of ‘cheating’ following their 2-1 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium over the weekend.
He launched a scathing attack on the Gunners’ set-piece tactics in the latest episode of The Obi One Podcast.
Goals from William Saliba and Jurrien Timber ensured Arsenal secured all three points, despite Riccardo Calafiori’s own goal.
With the narrow victory, the North London outfit moved five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Reacting to his former club’s loss, Mikel accused Arsenal of exploiting loopholes and benefiting from questionable officiating.
He specifically questioned the legality of Mikel Arteta’s side’s physical approach during corners, pointing out Declan Rice’s grappling with Joao Pedro inside the box.
Speaking on the show, Mikel said: “Arsenal, yes, they did win the game, but they were awful; they were horrible to watch. There was no creativity in the team. They were cheating.
“Are you telling me those corner kicks are legal? Are you telling me Declan Rice grabbing Joao Pedro is legal?”
Mikel Obi went on to slam the match officials, suggesting that referees allow excessive pushing, shoving, and blocking before the ball is delivered into the box.
