Afrobeats star, songwriter, and music producer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken a fresh swipe at Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo.

The ‘Electricity‘ hitmaker aimed the latest dig at the governor while responding to a post the incumbent Edo governor and All Progressives Congress chieftain shared on his official handle.

While bringing members of his party up to speed on the activities of his administration, Okpebholo noted that he recently toured the 18 local government areas in the state.

Taking to his X page, he wrote: “Today, I met with APC leaders and members from across the 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State to appreciate their support and reaffirm our commitment to taking governance to the grassroots.”

Reacting to the post, Davido questioned whether the politician personally composed the message shared on his handle.

The Grammy-nominated singer, in a brief but cutting remark, said: “There’s no way in heaven he typed this.”

Davido and Governor Okpebholo have been locked in a public back-and-forth following the latter’s claim during a recent campaign event that Davido’s uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, had abandoned his core duties to dance.

Clapping back, the singer shared what appeared to be the governor’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results on social media.

The result sheet, which was dated June 2008 and bore a photograph of the governor along with his name, suggested he had performed poorly.
