The Commissioner for youth and Sports in Niger State, Hon.Yusuf Suleiman has thrown his weight behind Delta State for Hosting what he has seen as a fantastic National Sports Festival in Asaba Delta State
In an interview with journalists, Suleiman commended the Delta State government for providing standard facilities for the over 30 games being competed for by a gathering of more than 14 thousand athletes, a number which is the highest in recent times. As well as, other accompanying facilities like the games village that are also good and befitting for the athletes and their technical teams.
The Niger born Politician said Sport is a beauty on its own as it brings everybody together as a unifying factor, especially because it takes the youth out of the street.
He said: “As you can how many male and female who are competing in the last few days with all their focus in here to compete.”
According to Faks Media, Niger state came with 19 Athletes to compete in different Sports.
“As I’m telling you now, we have won Gold, silver and bronze and I know more would come and that’s the reason I have been here since the opening ceremony and I would be around with them to motivate them.

“Before we left we paid them 50 percent of the their allowances and I have told them I would pay the balance Tuesday or latest Wednesday.”
Meanwhile the Sports Commissioner who came on board just two months ago has said that, their state Government has built a multi purpose sports Complex in Minna.
He said: “When I came on board I met it at 30 percent but I can tell you it is 70 percent to completion.”
