Spanish and Arsenal defender, Pablo Mari has finally left the hospital after he was discharged weeks after he was stabbed in a mall in Italy.

Mari left the Emirates on loan to spend a season on loan at Italian Serie A side, Monza after being deemed surplus to requirement and falling down the pecking order at Arsenal.

He was unfortunate to be one of the victims of an assailant, who went on a stabbing spree at a mall in Italy, but he survived without a serious injury.

The defender was swiftly operated on and has been recovering since then as he bids to return to the football pitch as soon as he can.

A report via Football London reveals he is recovering faster than expected and has now been discharged from the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Pablo Mari could now be back fit enough for selection again in the middle of next month, with Monza keen to have his experience.

Monza was founded in 1912 as Monza F.B.C. and on multiple occasions in the 1970s came close to promotion to the Serie A.

At times during the first two decades of the 21st century, they faced financial issues and were declared bankrupt twice, in 2004 and 2015.

However, following Silvio Berlusconi’s 2018 takeover of the club, they returned to Serie B in 2020 after a 19-year absence and reached promotion to Serie A for the first time in 2022.

They are currently 14th on the Serie A log table, having played 15 games in which they won 5, drew 1 and lost 9 matches.
