McLaughlin broke the world 400m hurdles record on two occasions and won two gold medals at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.

The two-time Olympics and three-time World 400m hurdles champion first broke the world record in June at the USA World Championships trials at Hayward Field, Eugene, Oregon with an impressive 51.41 run.

Barely a month later, the 23 year old ran an incredible 50.68 to successfully defend her 400m hurdles world title and break her second world title.

McLaughlin helped the USA 4x400m relay team secure a third consecutive World gold medal with a blazing split of 47.91 seconds.
