British pundit and former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has said England will be favourites when they face Norway in the World Cup quarter-final, but he has urged caution over Erling Haaland’s potential impact.
The Red Devils legend shared his thoughts while analysing the mouth-watering encounter on Sky Sports.
The Three Lions narrowly defeated co-hosts Mexico 3–2 to qualify, while Norway progressed after Haaland’s brace eliminated Brazil.
The two European nations will face each other at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday.

Speaking about the last-eight fixture, Neville believes England have what it takes to send Ståle Solbakken’s side home, but he insisted that Thomas Tuchel must be wary of Haaland.
He said: “It’s tough to stop Haaland because he can be anonymous in matches. He doesn’t touch the ball a lot, but you know that he’s explosive.”
The ex-England international also admitted that it would be a tough encounter, highlighting Martin Ødegaard’s impressive performance for Norway against Brazil.
Neville added: “I think we should be favourites to beat Norway, but it’s going to be really tough. I thought Martin Ødegaard played exceptionally well against Brazil.”
