Kwara pioneer SSG, Joseph Aderibigbe, dies at 104

Pioneer Secretary to the Kwara State Government (SSG), Chief Joseph Adeniyi Aderibigbe, has died at the age of 104.
His son, Debo Aderibigbe, said he died in Ilorin on Wednesday morning.
The elder statesman who hailed from Erin-Ile in Oyun Local Government Area of the state doubled as the Head of Service when he was the Secretary to the State Government.
He served when the pioneer military governor of the state, Brig. David Bamigboye, ruled between 1967 and 1975.
Meanwhile, the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has condoled with the family, friends and associates of the deceased.
The governor, in a statement by his media aide Rafiu Ajakaye, said the death of the former SSG marked the end of a great era which was marked by patriotism, dedication to public service, and a zeal to make the then young Kwara State a positive reference point in the comity of states.
He said that the deceased would be remembered for his legacy of excellent record of public service and his leadership over the years.
Abdulrazaq prayed for the repose of his soul and asked God to comfort the family and the entire Erin-Ile community.
