Offa stadium ready in 6 months, says contractor

Contractor handling the Offa sport stadium in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Arch. Abdulmajeed Mustapha, has assured that the phase one of the project would be completed in six month as scheduled.
Mustapha, who is the Managing Director of Urban Nexus Limited Consultant, the contractor firm, stated this at the site of the project while speaking with newsmen who were on the tour of project sites of the state government.
He said that the stadium was being buit with 3,000 capacity and to be available for numerous sporting events.
The contractor assured that despite the six-month target for completion of the first phase standard would not be compromised.
He said that adequate measure would be taken to ensure that no part of the stadium suffers collapse.
He stated: “We are aiming towards completing a standard stadium with standard sporting facilities like football pitch, indoor sport gym, volleyball, basketball ball and track events and others.
“It will also allow multipurpose events like get together, meetings, cultural displays.
“We target six months for completion of phase one. We are working around the clock to deliver a standard stadium as promised.”
Mustapha said that little details are put in place to ensure the best for the preliminary stage in order to avoid setbacks.
Special Adviser on Sports to the Chairman, Offa Local Government, Olabusoye Oladapo, commended state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for the initiative and support towards the project.
Oladapo described the governor as a sport loving man who prioritises youth interest in his administration.
