Ini Edo tied the knot with an American-based businessman on November 29, 2008, but the marriage crashed

Popular Nollywood actress, Iniobong Edo Ekim, better known as Ini Edo, has opened up on her failed marriage, saying she was forced into it and that she regretted the decision.
She made this known during a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, where she also claimed her decision to walk down the aisle with her ex-husband was one of the wrong decisions she took in her life.
In the chat, the ace thespian went on to say after the experience in her first marriage, she would only consider tying the knot again when she meets the right person.

She said, “I regretted my decision to get married because it wasn’t just the right move to make.”
She further disclosed that she decided to have her child through surrogacy because she suffered many miscarriages.
“I chose surrogacy because I had a couple of miscarriages. And I just got tired of trying.
“I don’t have a husband. So, I’m like, I want a child for myself, whether I have a husband or not. So, what other options would I have? And I wanted it to be my child. My eggs. Thankfully, my eggs are good. So I did that.” she added.
Ini Edo married an American-based businessman, Philip Ehiagwina on November 29, 2008, but the marriage only lasted for five years.
In 2021, she announced the arrival of her first child, a girl through surrogacy.
