British pundit and former Chelsea star Joe Cole has suggested that former Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso is the best tactician to manage the Blues.
Cole, however, admitted that Alonso—given his links to Liverpool—is unlikely to accept the offer.
The former England international gave the advice recently during a candid interview with Paddy Power.
His recommendation comes a few days after Chelsea sacked their manager, Liam Rosenior.

Cole described Alonso, who is currently without a job after being sacked by Real Madrid earlier this year, as a “winner”.
He noted that the Spanish tactician was “hard done by” while at Real Madrid, adding that “he understands massive clubs”.
“I would love to see Xabi Alonso at the club. I loved watching his Leverkusen team,” Cole said.
He added: “I think he was hard done by at Real Madrid. He understands massive clubs. He is a winner. The sad thing is, I don’t think Xabi Alonso would even consider Chelsea.”
