Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone has disclosed that Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman will miss Saturday’s home clash against Athletic Bilbao.
The Argentine tactician made the revelation ahead of the crucial La Liga tie.
Lookman sustained an adductor injury in Atlético’s Copa del Rey final defeat to Real Sociedad last weekend.
The 28-year-old Nigerian striker subsequently missed his team’s defeat to Elche on Tuesday.

While dismissing optimism that the winger could be fit for the visit of Bilbao, Simeone declared that the game came too soon for him.
He did, however, note that it was a good decision to take him off during the cup game against Real Sociedad.
He said: “Ademola Lookman is not ready for tomorrow yet; it’s a good thing we took him off in the Copa final.”
Meanwhile, Lookman will be hoping to recover in time for the first leg of Atlético’s UEFA Champions League semi-final fixture against Arsenal next week.
