Islamic scholar Sheikh Gumi has claimed that the Nigerian government is aware of the names and locations of terrorists wreaking havoc in the country.
The Kaduna-based cleric levelled the allegation while speaking during a recent interview with DRTV.
Gumi was reacting to suggestions that he knows and interacts with the terrorists and bandits fomenting trouble in the country, and that he advocates on their behalf.

According to him, he does not go to negotiate with the terrorists alone; he goes with the police, military, and other security agencies.
While addressing the speculations during the chat, he said: “The government knows every terrorist by name and location. I don’t go alone to negotiate — I go with the police, military, and other security agencies.
“I would go to the Emirs. In fact, when we went to one forest, I even went with women into the bush.”
