Newcastle United winger, Anthony Gordon, has admitted that Barcelona are more fluid than top teams in the English Premier League (EPL), saying he has never played a team like that before.
He made the confession while speaking with BeIN Sports after the La Liga champions defeated Newcastle 2-1 in a UEFA Champions League game played at St James’ Park on Thursday night.
On-loan Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford scored a brace to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead.
Gordon, however, netted Newcastle’s consolation goal in the 90th minute of the encounter.
While sharing his experience after the game, Gordon said the Spanish giants are a class above other teams.

He added that top EPL teams such as City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal can’t match Barcelona’s passing ability.
He also noted that the La Liga outfit coped easily with Newcastle’s high intensity and physical play.
Gordon said “I think the way they keep the ball was a learning experience.
“We don’t play against that kind of style in England, not at that level anyway, I thought they were the best I’ve played against in that sense of the game. Some of that play in midfield was really top.
“We’ve played against some top teams, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, but the way they pass the ball, the midfielders, the way they were fluid in their movement and combining, made it really hard for us to press, and it’s not easy coming here and doing that.
“We press with intensity, we’re very physical but to be fair to them, they did really well.”
