Although he has represented the European nation at youth level, the 19-year-old expressed a desire to visit Nigeria this summer.

Speaking during his latest interview, Ekhator said: “I would like to go there [Nigeria], maybe this summer. They have told me something about it, about when they came here to work. We are all happy together.”

His comments have caused excitement among Nigerian fans on social media, many of whom believe this is a significant step towards switching his allegiance from Italy to Nigeria.
