English broadcaster and former Barcelona striker, Gary Lineker, has admitted that he judged Galatasaray and Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen wrongly.
Speaking recently on his ‘The Rest is Football’ podcast with Micah Richards and Alan Shearer, the ex-England striker apologized to Osimhen for questioning his character.
His apology came a few days after Osimhen’s impressive display in Galatasaray’s 1-0 win over Premier League Champions, Liverpool in a UEFA Champions League (UCL) group game.

The Nigerian international scored the only goal of the intriguing match played at the RAMS Park and was named the “Man of the Match”.
While analysing the encounter on his podcast, Lineker retracted his earlier comments on Osimhen after he signed a four-year deal with Galatasaray in the summer transfer window, saying “I’m sorry”.
He said, “I need to apologise to Victor Osimhen. I remember that I intimated that he goes missing sometimes, and I believe that is completely not the case.
“So, Victor, if you are listening, I’m sorry about that. You should not spread rumours about these things, so my bad on that.”
