Prof. Zeb-Obipi takes over from Prof. Okogbule who was appointed as VC by former governor, Nyesom Wike

Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has approved the appointment of Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, as the new Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University.
This was disclosed on Thursday in a special government announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
According to Danagogo, the new VC’s appointment is with immediate effect.
“His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, has approved the appointment of Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, as the new Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.”
“The appointment takes immediate effect,” the SSG said.
Prof. Zeb-Obipi takes over from Prof. Nlerum Okogbule who was appointed as the VC of the Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt based tertiary institution by former governor, Nyesom Wike on March 5, 2020.
Prior to his appointment, Zeb-Obipi, who is a Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, was the Director of Information and Communication Technology Centre of the state university.
