African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has mocked President Bola Tinubu over the security arrangements around his campaign billboards in Kaduna State.
The former Vice President aimed the dig on Friday in a post shared on his official X page, questioning the government’s priorities amid worsening insecurity.
Atiku went on to accuse the president of prioritising the protection of his image while Nigerians continue to face attacks by bandits and terrorists.
Taking to his verified handle, the Adamawa State-born politician wrote: “Bola, you claim Nigerians love you, yet your billboards in Kaduna require security guards. Bandits raid villages, terrorists attack communities, and families live in fear.”

Atiku further argued that the security provided for the president’s billboards contrasted with the situation in communities where residents struggle to protect themselves against attacks.
“Your posters enjoy protection that millions of Nigerians can only dream of. What a tragic statement of your government’s priorities,” he added.
He went on to urge Tinubu to treat the protection of Nigerians with the same urgency he allegedly applies to safeguarding his public image.
“Bola, please protect Nigerians with the same urgency you protect your image!” Atiku demanded.
