Fani-Kayode also noted that Babachir’s attack on the Yoruba race weakens his argument instead of strengthening it.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has advised former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, to stop attacking the Yorubas.
He sounded the note of warning on Wednesday in a post he shared on his official X page.
Babachir while granting an interview earlier in the week, claimed that Yorubas cannot be trusted.
According to him, if you participate in a meeting where 99% are from the tribe, they will likely finish the discussion in their language.
He added that, “The problem with the Yoruba is that when you support them and they win, they behave as if they have subdued you. They will not count your support.”
Responding to his claims, Fani-Kayode told Babachir that his attack on the Yoruba race weakens his argument instead of strengthening it.
He said: “I advise you to be very careful with your words and your characterisation of an entire race, my dear brother Babachir Lawal.
“You know I have a soft spot for you, but attacking the Yoruba race does not strengthen your case. It diminishes you, weakens your argument, and destroys your credibility.”
Fani-Kayode went on to remind Babachir that President Bola Tinubu nominated him for the SGF position in the late Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
