Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that three of his players — Richarlison, Pape Sarr and Kevin Danso — have all demanded to leave the North London club.
The Italian tactician made this known on Saturday night during his post-match conference after Spurs lost their second league game of the season 2-0 to visiting Newcastle United.
Goals from Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa in the 62nd and 72nd minutes respectively settled the encounter, which had ended in a goalless first half.
New signing Nico Gonzalez, making his Magpies debut following his £52m move from Manchester City, started the move for the first goal with a superb crossfield pass to Amar Dedic, who headed the ball into Anthony Elanga’s path.

The Swede, who also scored in Newcastle’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday, created space away from former Magpies midfielder Sandro Tonali, spun and shot at goal, with the ball going in off the post.
They then doubled their lead 10 minutes later when Wissa acrobatically hooked the ball into the net after Nick Woltemade headed a corner towards the striker.
Speaking after the defeat, De Zerbi, who has now suffered back-to-back losses in charge of Spurs, confirmed that Richarlison, Pape Sarr and Kevin Danso have asked to leave the club.
He said: ‘Richarlison, he said too many times that he wanted to leave. Danso came to me two days ago and said he wanted to leave, Sarr too.’
