Davido claims having too much money leads to boredom

Ace Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has bemoaned the “boredom” that comes with riches.

The Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer, who is the son of billionaire and business mongul, Chief Adedeji Adeleke, made this known recently via a tweet on his X handle, where he asserted that he gets bored having his own money.

Speaking via his social media page, the ‘Electricity’ crooner tweeted: “It’s boring having money by yourself.”

After the now-viral post made the rounds on social media, it elicited mixed reactions from his fans and other netizens.

While some of them agreed with him, majority of those who trooped to the comment section disagreed with the notion.  

However, reacting to the tweet, Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, advised him to give part of his wealth to him and others to ease his boredom.

“Ah share for us na make we Dey bored together abeg,” Asika suggested.

Replying the comment, Davido turned down the advice, saying Asika is richer than him.

“Funny… u wey hold pass me,” Davido tweeted.
